At Designs By Sundown, we literally “walk the walk” when it comes to supporting our co-workers and causes that hit close to home and affect our landscape family. On a very cold September morning, DBS employees came together to support our co-worker, Aaron Yoder, his family and his youngest son, Buddy, at the Rocky Mountain “Step Up for Down Syndrome” walk. Team “Buddies4Buddy” gathered at City Park on Sunday, September 24th, and walked alongside the Yoder’s to show our encouragement and raise funds to benefit this great cause.
Later that same week, our team joined forces at the Rocky Mountain “Light the Night” walk at Wash Park to support our co-worker, Marti Sartain. Marti was diagnosed in 2013 with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and is doing amazingly well. She was an inspiring part of this year’s opening ceremony as she was selected to represent all survivors of the Light the Night community. In our three years of fundraising, we are close to raising $30,000 to find a cure for blood cancers.
We are thankful for the support, encouragement and generosity of people within the landscape industry for supporting Designs By Sundown and our employees.
