Becoming better stewards of our environment should be the charter of every individual on this great planet. At Designs By Sundown, we know the largest impact we can make as a landscape company is to save water, save plants, and select and re-use materials wisely.
Our goal is to improve the world around us by enhancing landscapes through environmentally conscious means as follows:

• Re–DUCE water consumption and waste by using new technology and products.
• Re–USE materials.
• Work with Re–CYCLED products as much as possible.
• Re–DESIGN older landscapes with watersaving ideas and plants (right plant, right place).
• Re–LOCATE / work-around mature trees and/or relocate when feasible.

Water Conservation

Designs By Sundown takes a proactive approach when it comes to water conservation. In fact, the company began putting resources toward “green” landscape practices well before it was fashionable. Saving water through innovative design and water-wise installation practices is standard on all projects.

There is nothing but upside potential…our community saves thousands of gallons of water plus clients save on water bills. Installation practices include the use and grouping of drought-tolerant plants, soil amendment practices that exceed industry guidelines, and the use of efficient irrigation components.
