About Us
Adam Hallauer • Landscape Designer
“As a Colorado native, I am very familiar with the many micro climates throughout the area and well versed with native plant material and varying soil conditions.”
Adam has the uncanny ability to visualize the finished landscape project during initial site visits. These visions have resulted in six award-winning projects including four Grand Awards, the top honor presented, at the Excellence In Landscape and the Environmental Improvement Award banquets.
Adam is a proud graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture, specializing in design and construction. Adam is approaching his ten-year anniversary with Designs BySundown, and loves that his job allows him to meld his interests in design, gardening, engineering and construction.
Adam enjoys spending time with his wife Christina and their two children. Other passions include gardening and leading the Designs By Sundown softball team to league championships.
Vejay Bala • Landscape Designer
“A well thought out planting plan is what truly makes a garden sing…adding color and movement to enlighten the senses.”
Vejay may be the newest member of the Designs By Sundown design team but that certainly doesn’t mean he’s new to the landscape industry. Prior to joining the company in 2009, Vejay worked for another award-winning design/build firm in Denver. He earned his masters degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Colorado at Denver and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). He also earned a Colorado Master Gardener certificate.
His strength as a designer lies in his ability to marry a site’s sense of place with the architecture of the home along with the individuality of the client – all into a space that’s cohesive and meaningful.
Vejay has a passion for gardening along with other outdoor activities such as tennis, camping, fishing, skiing and outdoor grilling with friends and family.
Greg Bobich • Landscape Designer
“For every new project, I get to take on a new site with its own characteristics. I am able to help the owners see the possibilities in the landscape for realizing their goals and aspirations. Garden design is an extraordinary way to relate to people to give them a stronger connection to nature which is so important to our well being.”
Greg has worked in the green industry for more than 20 years. He has created award-winning landscapes for Designs By Sundown for eleven of those 20 years. His work reflects his enjoyment of using many different landscape elements to create special, one-of-a-kind gardens. Greg’s designs have been printed in several national publications including Better Homes and Gardens, Sunset Magazine, and American Nurseryman. He has received a total of nine prestigious awards at the state and national level.
Greg is a Colorado State University graduate with a degree in landscape horticulture, specializing in landscape design and construction with a minor in construction management. Greg resides in Littleton with his wife and three stepdaughters. His hobbies include gardening, most outdoor activities and traveling the world to bring back unique ideas that he incorporates into his landscape designs.

“Flowers in the garden make people happy. My goal is to implement materials which will provide color in the client’s garden throughout the entire year. ”
Terry Carter joined Designs By Sundown in 2009, bringing with her 20 years of landscape experience. She obtained an Interior Design degree from Sam Houston State University and a Landscape Horticulture degree from Oklahoma State University. She uses both degrees today as she successfully creates inviting outdoor spaces through the use of annuals, perennials, containers and furnishings.
Terry is a Landscape Industry Certified Manager and Technician. Throughout her career she has been featured in Sunset Magazine, Colorado Green Magazine and made appearances on Channel 7 and 9 News. In 2009 she received two Excellence in Landscape Grand awards for her work.
Terry spends much of her personal time perfecting her own garden. She loves taking family trips and spending time with friends and family.
David Fulmer • Landscape Lighting Manager
“Outdoor seating areas are my favorite part of the landscape because they are an extension of the indoor living space. With the addition of the proper lighting elements, these areas can be used any time – day or night.”
David Fulmer is a native of the Southeast. He received his bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University with a major in Natural Resource Management and a minor in Business Management. He worked as a maintenance foreman for a large landscape company in Apex, North Carolina following graduation.
David came to Denver in 2002 and found an opportunity with Designs By Sundown as a lighting foreman. A year later, he was given the lighting management position. David has a keen eye when it comes to the use of low-voltage outdoor lighting. His philosophy is quality over quantity and he designs lighting systems with aesthetics and functionality in mind.
David is married and looks forward to starting a family. He enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, gardening, working on his car and traveling to new places.
