Midcentury Modern I
This project was unique because the owners had completed a remodel on the interior of the house to take the architecture back to its original characteristics. They really wanted the outdoor room to relate to the interior. The design was clean, simple, and geometric and we feel like we implemented the plan accurately. The fire-pit was designed to create a contemporary and cozy space that is intimate enough for a couple, but large enough to accommodate a big party. To bring the whole yard together we decided to field-design a calm, tranquil Japanese garden with minimal plantings, which resulted in a perfect connection to the new outdoor room.
