Park inside the Park

This stately home in Cherry Hills Park provides the perfect canvas for colorful plantings. In the front entry and along the driveway, the beds had to match the formal style of the house and its grounds. Jatropha trees were planted to give height to the urns and provide the space with an unexpected burst of color and tropical flair. There are 23 tree rings along the driveway that go from sun to full shade. The designer chose the wax leaf begonia in two shades of pink to give definition and to produce a seamless look. The pool pots were kept simple with dwarf yellow cannas, dragon wing pink begonia and pink/yellow lantana. 2010 was a success due to proper planning and plant choices.
